Love this song.

I watch anime,I play anime song,I buy anime merchandise. Since last week,I'd watched a new anime title "Dragon twins". It's about a guy,name Yoshi deal to his master that he wants to save the whole world. Story starts from here... I love their opening song,which title "Eghinem" and I started to practise this song. Here is the short part of my playing.

How to read on piano sheet

This tutorial will only teach you the basics you need for reading sheet music. Try to learn at your own pace, stop whenever you want and continue the next time because there is definitely too much to absorb and remember in a short time. Whenever you feel like giving up, just head over here to get some motivation and inspiration! ^^

NOTE: For those who can read sheet music, please do not try to pick out anything that I have omitted as I have done that on purpose so as to not confuse new learners. This information should be sufficient for reading Kpop, Jpop, Cpop, and Canto pop sheet music. Otherwise, if there is something terribly wrong, please leave a message and I will fix it. ^^

SHEET MUSIC READING TUTORIAL

First, know your notes.

White keys are named C D E F G A B (repeats from C).

Black keys are named using sharps (#) and flats (♭).

#: one step above specified note e.g. F# is the black key immediately after F.

♭: one step before specified note e.g. B♭ is the black key immediately before B.

Therefore some of the keys can be named in two ways e.g. A# = B♭, C# = D♭, D# = E♭ etc.

Sheet music is written on staves consisting of 5 lines.


Staves are populated with notes and/or rests. Notes are to be played, whereas rests designate pauses/intervals of silence (nothing is to be played).




The type of notes determine its duration i.e. how long the note is held for.

Similarly, the type of rests determine its duration i.e. how long the pause is held for.

When a dot appears on the right of a note, half the value of the note is added to the original length. For example, a dot on the right of a minim will have the value of 2 + 1 = 3 beats.


The clefs used and position of the notes on the staves determine its pitch i.e. which piano key to play.

There are two clefs:
treble clef - usually indicates notes for right hand
bass clef - usually indicates notes for left hand




It goes on. After E as shown in the diagram, each step up the stave will give you F, G, A, B, C etc. Ledger lines will be drawn when the 5 line staves run out of space.





Similiarly, it goes on. After A (on the left) as shown in the diagram, each step down the stave will give you G, F, E, A, B etc. Ledger lines will be drawn when the 5 line staves run out of space.





Sometimes in sheet music, notes written for bass and treble clef might cross into each other's space. As shown in the diagram above, the top two designate the same note key (E), and the bottom two designate the same note key (A).


Sheet music looks something like this. This diagram introduces key signature and time signature.

Key signature tells you which notes are sharped or flattened throughout the whole sheet music, until otherwise indicated.

In this diagram, the key signature shows that all F and C notes are to be sharped throughout, therefore played as F# and C#. At any instance should the natural symbol, ♮ appear beside F or C, the sharps are cancelled out for that whole bar.

Time signature tells you how many beats there are in a bar. 4/4 indicates 4 crotchet beats in a bar (also indicated by c symbol). Other time signatures are as such:

2/4: 2 crotchet beats in a bar
3/4: 3 crotchet beats in a bar
6/8: 6 quaver beats in a bar
9/8: 9 quaver beats in a bar
12/8: 12 quaver beats in a bar

To sum all of the basics above up and put into application, here is an example.



Key signature has F#, C#, G#, D#, A#. Remember that all these keys are sharped throughout unless otherwise indicated. Time signature is 4/4. There are 4 crotchet beats in a bar.

(brackets) indicate to play at the same time.
Bar 1, Bar 3:
- Right Hand: (E,G#) for 1 beat. (E, B) for 1 beat. (E, B) for 1 beat. (E) for 1 beat.
- Left Hand: (E, B, C#) for 4 beats.

Bar 2, Bar 4:
- Right Hand: (B, D, F#) for 2 beats. (D) for half beat. (C#) for half beat. (F#, B) for half beat. (C#) for half beat.
- Left Hand: (G) for one beat. (D) for one beat. (G) for one beat.

You will have to synchronise your left and right hands according to the beats.


Miscellaneous:

1. When there are more than one quaver/semiquaver/demisemi/hemidemisemiquaver side by side, their stems (tails) will be joined up.


2. When two same notes are joined by a tie, you only play the note once. For example,

Play F for 1 beat.
Play A for 0.5 beat.
Play E for 0.5 + 1 = 1.5 beats.
Play A for 0.5 beat.
Play D for 0.5 + 1 = 1.5 beats.

Move towards Cosplay Performance! (2/5/11)

Anime cosplay will be held next Monday which is 2/5! I will be performing a song of anime ,K-ON ,their ending cover. It took me time to arrange the front part. But appreciate it! It's my first time perform a piano playing,so obviously I'll be nervous. But anyway,move towards the day! Good Luck! Here's the song of my playing.

Anime Events Coming!!!!

Anime Event which held at Japan soon started. Although I'm not there,but I will watch it through their website! This time,gotta be lots of events inside which include Cosplay,Selling merchandise,Performances,Introduce barker and so on!

Guess what? Anime event stuff!!?? I wish I could buy it!

Another,I'd practise this for few months. This song is the previous of an anime event when it was 2010,but I really like it. For information,you can listen it through my blog -mix pod. This is the piano version,and sheets from Yarusa which at pianosheet.com.

wRYYYN!!!!

I had found this grannies monkey for about 1 year!!!! Finally,I'd bought it through internet!!
Isn't it cute!? But it cost about 65rm T^T! I named this Monkey as "wRYYYN! ( ﾟ д ﾟ )彡 Haha, sounds weird right? It's because I love this name from a part of animation!!

Besides,this monkey have a long long hand. Sometimes,I'll tied it on my hands xD Looks so cute!!! I always put him besides me while playing piano or computer,"he looks enjoying" :D wRYYYN You ROCKS!!!!!!

New hobby.

Even this had happened last week, but still yet to post it here. I'd lots of hobby,but most into is Piano. But last week,when I was jogging at "Tun Fatimah Stadium",saw lots of guys playing skateboard. So cool!! And I straight away into it. But I don't know how to play :( So what's it? Just hope someone who will really play skateboard,merely to teach me. :-D Skateboard ROCKS yea!!

15/4/11 Day..

Well,even I'm new,but I'll start my first post related what'd happened today.
I'd been called by my classmates,Ken Sian for hanging out together at Dataran Pahlawan. Since it's school holiday,then just a make a decide to go. As usual on 11.30am,we reached there by car. Once we reached in the main door,we saw another group of girl-friends which is Chien Ling,Ying San,Woan Ting and others (Don't know how to spell =3=). Then,we just walked and roll on first few hours. After that, both of us went to Mahkota Parade which my dad and mom worked there. Then,we separated into 2 groups which is girl and boy each. I'm just like a "stalker" who kept stalking my friends =3=...
Then,we back to D.P and have our lunch (forget restaurant name). After lunch,we went to Cinema which located the highest part at Carrefour. All of us had decided to watch "God must be crazy". But unfortunately,18+. But because of my height,I get to purchase 8 tickets =3=. And we starting nervous. What's it? Nervous about entrance"guarder". And we decided our "plan". It's tricky. "8" Room had lighted,and we just queue up to enter. And this is what'd happened. When comes to our turn,those "guarder" asked from us whether is it 18 and after an explain,we got banned out =3=.. Obvious no refund,and we wasted our 10 bucks on buying tickets!
Then after all,girls decided to Sing-K at Jetty. And we guys just bought another tickets, Source Code. But movie not bad,at least satisfied. Then after,we went to Jetty and searched for "girl’s team”. "G-3" is the room number. Once we entered,we saw a cake "planting" middle of the table. Eh!? What date is today? Who's birthday is it? Why got cake? LOL! And after a demand,just realized it's Chien Ling's birthday! But birthday cake with handle,and handle without fire!? Reason is,they don't have! Aww..pity man.. Fortunately,Ken Sian went to borrow lighter. And there here we go!

"Happy Birthday to you,Happy birthday to you...." After singing,then started to wish. Well,I'm not actually knew what she'd wished but I just hope that it will come true. And then,we sing-K together. Untill 6pm,finally we back.

Once reached home,Ken Sian keep nagging me,wanted me to play some piano songs for him. Well,although it's troublesome,but just simply played some for him. And yet,finally he backed =3=..

Anyway,it's a happy but too unfortunately day,but still I want to wish Chien Ling, Happy Birthday! And may god bless you! Wish you all the best!
